Does this plaque come with a backing board, or do I need to add one?

This brass wall plaque is supplied ready to mount on its own. An optional wooden backing board can be added for extra depth, contrast and a more premium, framed presentation — just select it when ordering.

Can I add a decorative border, or include a logo or image on my plaque?

Yes. As well as our standard rectangular edge, a scallop-edged border is available if you'd like a more decorative finish. You can also supply a logo or image to include in your design — just mention this when ordering (or send it via our contact form) so our team can prepare your free artwork proof accordingly, and let you know if any additional charge applies before production begins.

What size should I choose for my wording?

This plaque is available from 15.3cm x 10.2cm up to a large 29.7cm x 42cm (A3) size. Smaller sizes suit short dedications, while larger sizes give more room for extended wording or a logo.

What happens after I place my order?

Once you've placed your order, we'll email you a free artwork proof to review within 1–2 working days. Nothing goes to production until you've approved the design, so this is your chance to request any changes. Once you're happy and approve the proof, your plaque is made and dispatched within 5–10 working days, ready to enjoy.

How do I look after my brass plaque?

Brass develops a natural, warm patina over time if left untreated — many customers love this heritage look and simply let it age naturally. If you'd rather keep the bright, polished finish, wipe occasionally with a soft cloth and a suitable brass polish, buffing gently. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch the engraved surface.
