How do I look after my plaque?

Care is simple and varies slightly by material. Brass develops a natural, warm patina over time if left untreated — many customers like this heritage look, though it can be polished occasionally to keep the bright finish. Aluminium and stainless steel both resist corrosion and won't develop a patina, so they just need an occasional wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Whatever material you choose, avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners, which can scratch the engraved surface.

Which material holds up best on an outdoor bench?

All three materials — brass, stainless steel and aluminium — are suitable for outdoor benches. Stainless steel offers the strongest resistance to constant rain and weather exposure, brass develops a natural patina over time, and aluminium is a practical, lightweight option.

Can I add a decorative border, or include a logo or image on my plaque?

Yes. As well as our standard rectangular edge, a scallop-edged border is available if you'd like a more decorative finish. You can also supply a logo or image to include in your design — just mention this when ordering (or send it via our contact form) so our team can prepare your free artwork proof accordingly, and let you know if any additional charge applies before production begins.

Can I add a symbol or QR code to a bench plaque?

Yes, symbols such as hearts or flowers can be added for an extra charge, and a QR code can be included to link to a memorial page or photo gallery — just let us know before ordering.

What happens after I place my order?

Once you've placed your order, we'll email you a free artwork proof to review within 1–2 working days. Nothing goes to production until you've approved the design, so this is your chance to request any changes. Once you're happy and approve the proof, your plaque is made and dispatched within 5–10 working days, ready to enjoy.
